been serving the Lucas County community for over 50 years. We are
the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use
disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Services include adult and
child psychiatric, substance abuse, case management, residential,
Crisis Care, and therapy programs, as well as career development
and wellness services. Zepf Center also offers primary care medical
services to our patients to contribute to their continuum of care.
Zepf Center is a trauma-informed agency and environment for both
patients and staff. We are currently seeking MSW Interns to provide
structured time-limited face-to-face clinical interventions for
patients of the agency who are seeking behavioral health treatment
or crisis intervention. The Intern will provide these services
under the supervision of an assigned clinical supervisor and in
accordance with the policies/procedures of the agency as well
ethical codes of conduct. Clinical interventions provided may
include, individual therapy, group therapy, diagnostic assessments,
treatment planning, clinical documentation, screenings and
assessments, safety planning. Patient services are provided within
Zepf locations or, as appropriate, in the patient's natural
environment. HIPAA regulations will be observed at all times to
protect the patient's privacy and maintain confidentiality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides clinical
interventions under the supervision of a clinical supervisor
holding an independent license in the same licensing field as the
student LISW-S). May provide crisis intervention services. Provides
individual therapy. May provide group therapy. Maintains required
documentation per agency standards including, but not limited to
diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, progress notes for
services rendered, transfer/discharge summaries, screening and
assessment, safety planning, and in some cases psychological
testing and report writing. Follows all policy and procedures of
the agency. Adheres to ethical codes of conduct at all times.
Completes agency required trainings. Participates in team meetings
as available. Consults and collaborates with other members of the
patient’s treatment team to facilitate care coordination. Position
Competencies: Demonstrates adherence to the current publication of
the DSM V and is working to develop and apply knowledge of
behavioral theories and techniques. Clinical Interns will strive to
meet the requirements outlined by the graduate program and will
share these expectations as well as faculty contact information
with the clinical supervisor. Organizational Competencies:
Demonstrates knowledge of the agency's mission, vision, goals, and
philosophy as well as the policies and procedures for the
department they are assigned to. Strives for high patient
satisfaction by providing excellent customer service at all times,
demonstrating open communication, and practicing non-violence in

immediately when issues/conflict arise. Demonstrates consistent
professionalism. Demonstrates teamwork. Commits to cultivating a
non-violent and trauma-informed environment for all employees and
patients through our pursuit of Sanctuary; a trauma-informed model.
Commits to a deeper exploration of Sanctuary Values. Incorporates
Sanctuary techniques into daily work activities. Requirements: Must
be enrolled in an Accredited Graduate Program for social work.
Receives offer letter from Internship Coordinator and, after
accepting, signs an agency site agreement for their University and
the identified site supervisor. Social Work Trainee (SWT) License
required if not already licensed. Meets all on-boarding
requirements for employees such as background check, TB testing,
drug screening etc. Internships are not paid but students will
receive college credits.
