Job Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective The Branch Manager-Community
Engagement Officer will be responsible for managing daily branch
operations, leading a small team and actively driving business
growth through community engagement and strategic outreach. Directs
the overall activities of the branch to continually and
simultaneously serve the members within the credit union’s target
market so that the company’s brand name and reputation continue to
flourish. This position works to earn an acceptable rate of return
on sales after incentive compensation and maintains a healthy cash
flow. Additionally, the Branch Manager invests time in personnel
development. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be

essential functions. Branch Management (50%) · Oversee daily
operations of the branch to ensure efficient, compliant and
member-focused- service · Supervise and coach employees, fostering
a culture of accountability, collaboration and service excellence ·
Monitor branch performance metrics including member satisfaction,
loan volume, deposit growth and operational efficiency · Ensure
adherence to all credit union policies, procedures and regulatory
requirements · Handle escalated member issues with professionalism
and care · Maintains control over audit procedures, ensuring that
the branch is in compliance with federal laws and regulations set
forth by the National Credit Union Administration and other
regulatory agencies · Motivate staff to cross-sell the credit
union’s products & services & ensure they’re abreast of procedural
changes · Schedules, supervises, and motivates branch staff in an
effort to maintain optimal member service satisfaction levels ·
Assists in evaluating staff’s work performance by helping to
prepare and deliver annual reviews and performing coaching sessions
· Monitors quality of service for members and ensures that
employees are maximizing opportunities to sell products · Assists
in managing the security and safety of the branch, ensuring that
all policies and procedures are followed by staff · Assists in the
interviewing, hiring, and training of new branch employees ·
Resolve team conflicts and reinforce continuously respectful
communication with other departments · Tactfully resolve member
concerns & inquiries in a manner consistent with credit union
values · Monitors office activity, including number of
transactions, loan volume, and sales volume · Maintain knowledge of
One Detroit Credit Union’s products and services, operational
policies and procedures, by-laws, and philosophy · Adhere to the
credit union’s uniform policy and demonstrate professional,
business like appearance Community Engagement (50%) · Develop and
execute a local business development strategy to grow membership,
deposits and loan portfolios · Build and maintain relationships
with local businesses, community organizations and potential
members · Represent the credit union at community events,
networking functions and business expos · Identify opportunities
for new products, services and partnerships that align with member
needs and market trends · Track and report on business development

position has supervisory responsibility over Branch staff. Work
Environment: This job operates in a clerical office setting. This
role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers,
phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Physical
Demands This is largely a sedentary role, requiring use of typical
office equipment such as a computer and printers. Most work is
completed in an office environment. Position Type and Expected
Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Hours worked may exceed
40 hours per week. Some after hours and/or Saturday work hours may
be required. Travel Local travel may be expected, up to 50%.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills 1. Associate's degree or
some college level course work preferred. 2. Minimum 3 years of
experience in retail banking, credit union operations or financial
services 3. Proven leadership experience, preferably in a branch or
team management role 4. Strong business development, sales or
community outreach experience 5. Excellent interpersonal
communication and relationship building 6. Ability to work
independently and manage multiple priorities 7. Knowledge of credit
union products, services and regulatory environment a plus 8.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills 1. Bachelor's degree in a
