Essential Responsibilities

--- Meet, and exceed, revenue goals as outlined in annual plan.

--- Proactive solicitation of target markets; to include cold calls, follow-up repeat business, lost business and all inquiries.

--- Responds to all inquiries and leads, handles initial inquiries in efficient manner, and consistently follow-up with personal phone call, printed material, customized letters and other appropriate materials.

--- Actively up-sell and grow existing business with additional events, products and services.

--- Secures date and facility to best suit customer needs, arrange for customer to view facilities and discuss options. Provides links, menus and other appropriate sales materials.

--- Creates and maintains ReServe/Infor and hard file of client information, billing and payment processes, planning notes and event details associated with all aspects of event.

--- Works with customers to evaluate their event needs, be creative in reviewing and customizing menu, ticketed items, programs and experiences to suit customers' needs. Must be flexible to work within customer budget, yet meet minimum requirements set by The Henry Ford.

--- Contacts vendor services, both internal and external, and negotiates services to meet event needs. Responsible for making recommendations to Team Leader of service providers, and for keeping abreast of industry standards and trends to enable team to provide the best possible service.

--- Contributes to internal communication efforts by participating in necessary meetings and utilizing scheduling vehicles to convey necessary information.

--- Responsible for attending a variety of events, coordinated by self and peers. Greets customers and guests, inspects events, observes operations, and makes recommendations for improvements.
