on-site periodically and reside a commutable distance from the
assigned work location.Emergency Response: Yes - Must be available
to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE's emergency
response to storms or other events that impact service to our
customers.Job Summary
- Assists in administration of various natural gas programs.
Performs inbound scheduling of transportation, storage and
gathering transactions on transmission and gathering systems.
Assists in responsibilities related to outbound scheduling on third
party pipelines. Position supports an active Gas Nominations
system. Employees hired into this role will be assigned to and
expected to be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts that include
weekends and holidays. Must be available for rotating on-call
coverage. Span of control: 0; this is an individual contributor
job.Key Accountabilities
- Performs duties associated with processing inbound nominations
on transmission and gathering systems, including confirming,
balancing and allocating nominations; supports external customers
with nomination activity.
- Submits outbound nominations on third party pipelines.
Coordinates with senior-level staff to develop and implement
monthly scheduling plans.
- Posts and monitors capacity release deals on third party
pipelines.
- Understanding of DTE Gas specific operational protocol and
procedures related to an understanding of DTE tariff, DTE
contracts, broad industry standards, and DTE specific
practices.
- Assists in the administration of various natural gas programs;
entails processing and reconciling transaction files, providing
support to alternative gas suppliers, and assisting in regulatory
inquiries.
- Applies continuous improvement practices to develop new
procedures or streamline and automate existing procedures;
participates in cross-functional projects related to process
improvement.
- Resolves complex customer issues to deliver superior customer
service.
- May require FERC gas training.Minimum Education & Experience
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business or public administration,
accounting/finance, economics, or a related discipline, and 1 year
of experience, inclusive of some component of the energy industry
in operations, accounting/finance or marketingOther Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or equivalent (word processing,
spreadsheet and presentation software) with the ability to perform
financial and operational analysis with minimal instruction.
- Proficient verbal, written and presentation skills;
communicates clearly, with credibility and confidence
- Broad understanding of gas transmission pipelines and storage
capacity planning
- Flexibility and the ability to work with shifting priorities;
embrace new/evolving responsibilities; organizes and prioritizes
routine assignments with minimal oversight
- Thorough orientation in and passion for 'customer satisfaction
driven' business units, and the ability to plan, organize, and
manage with a Total Customer Satisfaction (TQS) focus.
- Competent in "multitasking" (i.e the ability to prioritize and
manage multiple tasks, issues or projects that may include
high-visibility initiatives and require innovation, teamwork and
planning); ability to work well in a team environment, positively
interacting with crossfunctional business units
- Basic problem solving skills and ability to make routine
decisions with minimal oversight
- Must be able to work a rotational shift schedule that includes
weekends and holidays and on-call coverage.Additional
