Job Description:

The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for the inventory control, file maintenance, invoice verification, all parts orders, outside purchases, daily sales invoicing, error messages. DCN messages, understand ordering procedures, management of inventory for marketing programs, all returns, and system information accuracy. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*:*** *Include the following, and other duties may be assigned as needed*. * Generate and evaluate parts orders, emergency stock and direct ship, and tracks shipments * Add new parts to the system * Handle inventory returns * Complete cycle counts * Proper stocking criteria for the desired level of customer service * Timing and accuracy of inventory management reports * Establish best level of inventory for customer service * Assist in annual inventory, bin checks, surplus / returns, and backorder verification * Assist shipping clerks as needed for the timely receipt of product * Control of purchase order * Recommends order generation criteria * Control of return shipments and their freight expense * Knowledgeable of inventory system, business systems, vendor sales programs, and an administrator **QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
