What you ll be doing:

We are seeking a qualified engineer responsible for the Design and Release and Program Application work for Electrical Product on the Vehicle Personalization Group. The candidate would lead Engineering deliverables/documentation and work application engineering of some Vehicle Accessories for various vehicle programs.

Responsibilities include:

" Author Engineering Documents for Various Accessories: Quality History (Warranty reviews) Boundary Diagram, P Diagram, Change Point Analysis, Interface Matrix, Interface Analysis, FMEA & SCCAF.
" Work with stakeholders for sign-off for approval and release
" Interface with Failure Mode Avoidance Teams
" Draft & Develop Design Rules with Vehicle Personalization Engineers.
" Research requirements data base, Warranty Data analysis and Regulation research.
" Lead Program Management with Full-Service Supplier Partners
" Support prototype fit ups and testing, and managing supplier design validation and verification tasks
" Lead Application work on various Programs
" System definition and program set-up (including Bill of Material, Work planning, etc.)
" Ensure Programs deliverables are met on time and with the highest quality.
" Develop work plans and lead issue resolution
" Identify validation, durability and functional test required
" Troubleshooting and developing solutions for issues found during validation and launch
What you need for this position:

Required:
" BS Degree Engineering Discipline
" 5+ years experience in design & release of functional components and systems integration
" 1+ year of CAD packaging experience, working knowledge of Team Center & Vis Mockup
" Familiarity with engineering and design of automotive parts and systems
" 3+ year of experience with Automotive Component or Subsystem Product Development tools and processes.
" Strong understanding and application of engineering disciplines (engineering specifications, design validation, failure mode analysis, 8D, six sigma, etc.)
" Excellent project management skills
" Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with multiple functions including design studio, body engineering, and program management
" Experience with resolving complex issues and effectively communicating to management
" Excellent supplier management skills and experience in leading large supplier teams
Preferred:
" Experience developing, designing, releasing and validating vehicle accessory products
" Understanding of Automotive Networks
" MSEE or advanced degree preferred
" Experience with CAD and physical schematics
" Technical aptitude, desire to learn
" Ability to work collaboratively with other teams
" Knowledge of engineering disciplines: Six Sigma, DFMEA, DVP. Certification Testing, GD&T, DFM, Variation Analysis
