FLP (Ford Lincoln Protect) Business AnalystThe Business Analyst
takes on complex high-profile projects within the Ford Lincoln
Protect team.-- Must be knowledgeable of service contract business
processes, financial practices, and the systems that support them.
This role works with the Extended Service business team members to
gather requirements, write user stories including acceptance
criteria, and assess the impact of proposed changes.-- During
development, this role serves as an Agile Team Product Owner
providing acceptance approval of developed user stories and demoing
functionality to business customers. The FLP business analyst
assists the business in developing UAT testing scenarios and
establishing test data to support them.---- This role requires
strong communication and team-building skills allowing them to
build strong positive relationships with the development teams,
project management, and the Global Ford Lincoln Protect business
team.During a Typical Day, You'll
- Serve as consultant to the Ford Lincoln Protect client,
suppliers, upper-level management, and finance teams regarding
technical systems related to programming questions and
capabilities.
- Analyze the Ford Lincoln Protect needs of the rest of the world
countries (i.e. South Africa, Germany, England, etc.) to transition
their FLP business model into the North American business
model.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources,
negotiate compromises with business owners, decompose high-level
information into details, and distinguish user requests from the
true underlying needs.
- Elicit technical detailed requirements using interviews,
document analysis, business process descriptions, use case
scenarios, as well as, business and workflow analysis from project
business owners.
- Defines iterations and user stories
- Drafting the team's upcoming objectives
- User Story definition
- Providing clarification necessary to assist the team with their
story estimates and sequencing
- Establishes story acceptance criteria
- Iteration planning
- Drive iteration goals and iteration content via prioritized
user stories
- Acts as the main source for user story detail and
priorities
- Primary responsibility for continuously identifying and
prioritizing requirements for iterations
- Responsible for reviewing and approving iterative functionality
developed by I.T.
- Work with developers reading/reviewing code (COBOL and Java)
and recommending solutions
- Aid the QC team in creating test conditions for three levels of
testing
- Provide analysis, development, and writing of technical test
scenarios and perform User Acceptance Testing for developed
solutions.
- Participate in daily standup meetings
- Review the progress of onsite and offshore developers
- Provide answers to technical questions that developers run into
while coding user stories.
- Establish priority of work and re-prioritize as necessary
- Gather business requirements from Ford Lincoln Protect teams
globally to ensure programming meets business needs
- Document requirements, and acceptance criteria, and oversee UAT
testing scenarios.
- Analyze and scope the areas of analysis, working with
department managers, business partners, and outside vendors to
clarify the level and complexity of the business analysis effort
needed for the GESBre project.
- Ensure the scope and direction of the project stays on
schedule
- Prioritize sequence work and release planning
- Define features of releases for the project
- Provide a description of the feature that user stories are
built around

initiatives and requests.
- Complete training courses as directed by Operations and/or
Training.
- Maintain professional working relationships.
- Complete additional responsibilities and projects as
needed.What You Bring to the Role--
-
- HS Diploma required; Associates Degree or 2 years college
coursework preferred
- 3 years' experience gathering business requirements
- 3 years documenting functional & technical product/system
requirements.
- 3 years of Project Management experience
- 3 years of insurance industry experience preferred
- Expert understanding of ESP business including; product
offerings, program knowledge, ESP system structure/set-up, and
financial impact of changes within the system.
- Document functional & technical product/system
requirements.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Product/System development,
implementation, and testing processes.
- Project managing product/system development initiatives - lead
team to successful completion of projects.
- 7-10 years of System Liaison knowledge and experienceWhat You
