This individual will also manage the development process of a Data Engineering talent strategy to attract, assess, develop, and retain best in class talent. If you are a highly skilled, visionary and ambitious professional with a deep passion for Data Engineering, please consider joining our team as we navigate Company Motor Company through the disruptiveness of the information age and achieve data superiority.What you'll be able to do:* The Chief Data Engineer is the highest professional authority in Data Engineering domain (enterprise level)* Identify trends and develop innovation strategies working with internal technical teams, industry experts, suppliers or In-House experts globally to advance Company's data superiority* Solves the most difficult data challenges to realize Company's modern data factory* Identify, attract and develop Data Engineering talent through inspirational technical and professional leadership* Role model "software and data first" mindset to drive internal disruption to accelerate value creation* Works closely with IT and Architecture teams driving maximum commonality of data solutions across the enterprise * Supports Analytics Application teams globally to deploy and optimize solutions for the enterprise* Leads the development of Data Engineering competency in all region, including the professional development and training for Data Engineers* Certifies all Senior Data EngineersCritical Success Factors* An expert regarded by industry peers as one of the top thought leaders in Data Engineering * Deep knowledge of and passion for Data Engineering and discipline to ensure quality, reliability and customer satisfactionThe minimum requirements we seek:* Associates degree* Ten or more years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Science and/or Software EngineeringOur preferred requirements:* Bachelor's degree in--in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, or Applied Science* Fifteen or more years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Science and/or Software Engineering; with at least ten years external to Company* Excellent organizational skills* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to transfer knowledge to others
