biggest companies. Our client has a need for a Manufacturing
Engineer. This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon
for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our

Your specific duties as a Manufacturing Engineer will
Compensation (Range): 30-40/ hour
Provide manufacturing engineering leadership throughout a new
model development program beginning through +45 days.
Implementation of new/modified Battery Assembly equipment,
configuration, and calibration tooling and facilities based on
product and process changes.
Support prototype builds on site at the North American
Manufacturing Assembly Plants.
Run a daily open Battery Assembly equipment issues meeting.
Compile and distribute daily Battery Assembly equipment metrics
files in standard night letter format and Excel list format.
Identify and drive resolution of manufacturing related
Interface with cross-functional activities (PD, Supplier
Quality, New Model Launch, etc.).
Lead assembly tooling installation, start-up, and commissioning
at the assembly site.
Ensure timely delivery to vendors of inputs and specification
documentation for Battery Assembly equipment and configuration
Lead-prebuild validation events for the Battery test
Assist in preparation of management reviews and data collection
to support the presentation.
Drive quality, cost and labor improvements during the launch
Support plant acceleration throughout during the launch through
identification and resolution constraints including documentation
lead for daily acceleration throughout report.
PFMEA updates and maintenance based on physical build
Support change control to evaluate product change impact on
Battery Assembly equipment cost and labor.
Ensure all new tooling and processes meet ergonomic
As a Manufacturing Engineer you must represent our company well
by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond
the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and
organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It
is also important that you display excellent verbal and written
communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Strong program management skills and result oriented
Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Web Based reporting
3D CAD review abilities (Teamcenter, VisMockup, CATIA, or
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation
Ability to work with minimal direct supervision
Ability to operate in stressful situations within timing
Understanding of PFMEA and failure mode avoidance principles
2+ years experience in Automotive Manufacturing - Experience
w/automotive assembly tooling processes and facilities
Previous experience in battery manufacturing - Experience in
automotive diagnostics and assembly test methods and processes
Education Required: Bachelor’s in engineering, Computer Science,
or Automotive Management
Ability to support launch programs on extended travel to US,
Canada, and Mexico is required.
