What You’ll Do: Operate a TARTA bus along designated fixed routes, ensuring safe, timely transportation. Deliver exceptional customer service, assisting passengers throughout their journey. Maintain strict adherence to schedules, ensuring timely arrivals and departures. Requirements: Valid CDL permit with Passenger and Airbrakes endorsements. At least 1-year DOT Medical Certification (exam provided upon hire). High school diploma or GED. Five (5) years of consecutive licensed driving experience. No more than 2 points on your license in the past 3 years. Minimum age of 21 years. What to Expect: Dynamic Scheduling: Initially, you might receive your schedule by 4 PM for the next day, with required availability between 4:20 AM and 11:15 PM daily. However, your seniority will quickly lead to more predictable shifts and better work-life balance. Physical Requirements: Occasional standing and walking, frequent driving, and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Pre-Employment Requirements: Background check, DOT Drug Screen, and DOT Physical, CDL permit required before starting. TARTA is a drug-free workplace. All applicants are required to complete a drug test, which includes testing for marijuana.
