Job Description:

In this role as Software Controls Engineer, the engineer will use Hardware in the loop to develop of Advanced Driver Assist Systems and ensure that customer experience meets expectation. Vehicle Attribute Engineering at FORD is dedicated to deliver robust, validated, and reliable Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Active Part Assist and 360-degree Camera Systems. Skills Preferred:
--- 2+ years of experience with programming HIL equipment (NI, dSPACE, Concurrent), creating software models for HIL or NI systems, design and modification of HIL (NI or dSPACE) test systems
--- Excellent oral and written communication skills, proactive teamwork, excellent organizational skills including ability to multi-task, and excellent collaboration skill in cross functional team
Experience Required:
--- Experience with vehicle remote sensing systems such as radar, camera, LIDAR or ultrasonic
--- 2+ Years of experience in development and validation of ADAS / DAT features such as Client, AEB, LKA, TJA, Collision Avoidance
Experience Preferred:
--- 2+ years of experience with vehicle modeling using tools such as CarSim or CarMaker
--- 2+ years of experience in vehicle communication network tools (CANayzer/CANape/CAPL/Intrepid)
--- 2+ years of experience in developing Simulink IO models that run in the real-time HIL hardware
--- 2+ years of experience with MATLAB Simulink Plant models creation and simulation
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering with focus on mechatronics and controls.
Education Preferred:
Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering with focus in software and controls
