The Ford Credit Technology & Software organization builds digital products for dealers and customers to support Ford Credit's strategic goal to be why customers choose and stay with Ford. Technology Product Group Leader for Commercial will lead the development of new digital products and modernization of existing systems used by Ford Credit Commercial customers.

Job Description & Qualifications

Technology Product Group Leader will

* Apply technology to solve business problems
* Apply software skills to build solutions that address difficulties for Commercial customers
* Design and deliver industry-leading products and services to improve value and efficiency for Commercial customers
* Engage with stakeholders & teams across Ford Credit, Ford Pro, and Ford Motor Company
* This position reports to the Head of Ford Credit Commercial Technology.

* Spread across 8 locations: USA, Argentina, Brazil, United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, India, and China

Technology Product Group Manager Responsibilities:

* Lead a team of Software Engineers to launch new digital software products and modernize existing systems used by Commercial customers
* Provide technical leadership to teams engaged in the design, delivery, and operations of digital products & solutions
* Ensure software engineering excellence through clean code, test-driven development, etc.
* Leverage Agile practices for software delivery
* Clearly communicate technology strategy and vision to team members
* Work closely with the Product Managers and Product Owners
* Work with lead Product Owner matched pair to coordinate quarterly prioritization process
* Deliver to quarterly OKRs i.e., Objectives & Key Results
* Apply Lean Product Management mentality and techniques such as the build-measure-learn loop to continuously iterate on solution delivery
* Travel: Fully remote or minimal travel, depending on the individual's preference

Required Skills:

Functional & Technical Skills

* Experience with front-end and back-end software technologies
* Extensive experience working on cloud and digital platforms
* Drive the development of highly technical services and capabilities
* Experience with Lean and Agile methodologies & meticulous Programming
* Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product owners
* Drive highly available customer-ready digital products
* Build new APIs & reuse existing APIs as needed
* Ability to deliver front-end digital experiences

Leadership skills

* Able to think and act strategically, without constraints
* Operationalize and assist teams with abstract technology concepts
* Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills
* Consistent track record of working closely with senior leadership
* Strong personal presence and capabilities to resolve technical concerns
* Ability to work collaboratively and navigate complex decision-making in a constantly evolving environment
* Strong leader with the ability to teach others

Required Work Experience:

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
* Master's Degree in Computer Science (preferred)
* 10+ years of technology experience, with at least 7+ years of leading and managing software engineering and product teams
* 5+ years of hands-on experience with full-stack software technologies such as JavaScript, React or other JavaScript frameworks, Java, Kotlin, etc., and cloud platforms like GCP, Azure or AWS
* Experience leading teams of 25+ people
