As the Director of University Recruiting for North America, you will design and deliver innovative talent acquisition solutions for one of the world's premier automotive brands. We are seeking an experienced, ambitious, and strategic University Recruiting Director who will be a key member of Ford's internal Talent Acquisition team. Reporting to the Global TA Leader, they will be responsible for recruiting for and delivering the Ford Intern Experience and fulfilling Ford needs for college grads (FCGs) for North America. You will build and lead engagement with universities, education institutions, and professional organizations to deliver strategic programs in support university recruiting.

Role/Responsibilities:

* Directly set the strategy to support Ford's full cycle campus recruitment team in delivering talent across all of Ford's early career programs (Interns, Ford College Grad - rotations, and co-op programs).
* Build sustainable strategies, in partnership with employment branding, to attract high potential talent and deliver upon the Ford Intern Experience.
* Champion operational excellence across the UR recruiting team to implement process improvements and ensure flawless execution/experience from business need through hire.
* Develop and execute a diversity focused early talent strategy, advocate for campus recruiting strategies, and provide input on cross-Talent Acquisition matters including people, process, and technology.
* Build internal and external partnerships to ensure a diverse source of early talent across university partners and partnership organizations.
* Partner with key stakeholders to create and deliver meaningful and productive experiences for summer interns, continually improving upon the "on campus" or virtual Intern experience.
* Provide strong leadership to the team through effective coaching, career development, and recognition.
* Track and provide reporting to executive leadership on candidate pipelines and diversity metrics; proactively identify trends to address potential gaps across the entire Intern/FCG experience.
* Take a leadership role in training the team on best practices and considerations, and provide regular updates on progress toward DE&I goals
* Ability to travel 30% on average during peak seasons

The minimum requirements we seek:

* 10+ years of recruiting experience
* 5+ years leading University Relations team for a large organization (hiring > 500 interns/college grads annually)
* Experienced implementing diversity strategies to enhance intern talent pools
* Strong bias toward leveraging technology to work "smarter not harder."
* High School Diploma or GED

Our preferred requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree
* Experience growing a recruiting team & process from startup to scale

Skills/Experience Desired:

* Prior background leading a significant portion of campus recruiting efforts for an organization competing for top talent
* Understanding of designing and delivering comprehensive university talent acquisition and attraction programs
* Strong verbal and written communication skills; detail-oriented with a bias for action
* Solid team player with strong sense of autonomy able to deliver results in fast paced environment on multiple priorities under minimal supervision
* ATS and CRM proficiency in one or more systems - Oracle and/or Handshake experience preferred
