Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Support surgical teams as a Certified Surgical Technologist in a dynamic operating room environment in Rochester, MI. This contract position focuses on providing critical assistance during general surgical procedures, ensuring that instruments, supplies, and equipment are prepared and available for seamless operations. The role requires close collaboration with Registered Nurses and other surgical team members to anticipate needs and respond promptly to emergent situations, maintaining the highest safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: - Scrub in for general surgical procedures, preparing and organizing instruments and supplies specific to each surgery. - Verify the proper functioning of surgical instruments and equipment before use, reporting any issues. - Maintain sterile fields and ensure compliance with department policies, safety practices, infection control, and quality assurance programs. - Deliver supplies to units and ancillary departments, while keeping operating rooms clean, organized, and safe. - Provide pre-operative comfort and support to patients with sensitivity and respect for privacy. - Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges within the OR. - Participate actively in department meetings, educational programs, audits, and training of new team members. - Collaborate with leadership to optimize supply management and workflow efficiency.
