Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/13/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring at least 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience and an active OH or compact RN license. Responsibilities - Position is based in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting - Rotating 12-hour day and night shifts (7am-7:30pm or 7pm-7:30am), may be variable to meet operational needs - Assignment length is 13 weeks - Requires working at least every other holiday - Use of ECG rhythm recognition and Med/Surg Telemetry patient monitoring - Responsibilities include providing comprehensive nursing care for adult Med/Surg Telemetry patient populations - Modules must be completed pre-start and annually; up to 4 hours billable for annual modules if on contract for a continuous year - Badge and onsite fingerprints must be completed at the facility prior to start date - First-time travelers are eligible - Locals are accepted at the same bill rate - Nurses and CSTs are temporarily exempt from nicotine-free policy - Permanent and per diem candidates are not eligible to return to the facility within one year of their previous end date - Assignments at any Cleveland Clinic location are capped at 18 consecutive months with a minimum 6-month break required before returning Requirements - Active permanent OH or compact RN license is required and must be in hand - Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required - At least 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty prior to travel assignments required - Certifications required: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (all active and not pending) - Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation is required, with two attempts allowed - Must pass BCI/FBI fingerprinting and background check - No open background cases or license hits allowed Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-661292.
