Hillcrest Hospital’s Coronary Care Unit cares for adult and geriatric patients with acute and chronic diagnoses, such as acute coronary syndrome/MI, potential lethal arrhythmias, pulmonary edema/complicated CHF, hemodynamic instability of a cardiac origin and post-cardiac arrest. The Coronary Care Unit has a dynamic work environment with an active Unit Shared Governance Council that organizes community outreach programs. A caregiver in this position works7:00PM – 7:30AM. A caregiver who excels in this role will: - Provide direct nursing care. - Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans. - Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions. - Administer prescribed medications and treatments. - Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. - Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs. - Educate patients and their families. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: - Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. - Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). - One-year of current acute care RN experience. Will consider military RN experience. Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: - Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN). Personal Protective Equipment: - Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Pay Range Minimum hourly: $41.00 Maximum hourly: $41.00 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
