- Leading a Global Division growing through organic growth and
M&AAbout Our ClientOur client for the Division President
opportunity is an industrial manufacturing global conglomerate and
Forbes Global 2000 ranked organization. This company is a global
market leader and continuing to grow through organic growth,
M&A, and product and market diversification. This division
consists of 4 global business units in North America, Europe, and
Asia operating in 8 countries.The Division President will report to
the Segment President and CEO of this $1.5B segment. The Division
President will also be one of the key leaders of the executive
management team of the overall parent company. This division
provides custom engineered and standard products to markets
including, but not limited to energy, infrastructure, industrial,
aerospace, heavy duty and off-highway, mining, fluid power, medical
and mining. This Global President will look to grow the division
mainly through acquisitions (M&A), identifying and integrating
companies to complement the existing business units, while also
expanding into new end markets and applications. The group is
seeking profitable growth through organic growth and M&A with
the intent to double the division revenue by 2030. This role is
based in Houston, Texas and will be on site. Relocation assistance
is available for non-local candidates.Job Description
- Full P&L responsibility of the global division
- Develop a strong understanding of the markets, customers, and
products to drive strategic commercial decisions fueling
growth
- Provide overall strategic management, direction, and leadership
of the division across all core functions
- Create and sustain an environment and culture that drives
accelerated growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction
- Ensure strategic direction aligns with the overall segment
being accountable for the overall performance of the division
- Identify and pursue M&A (merger and acquisition) targets
and opportunities working closely with the corporate M&A
team.
- Integration of acquired companies into a structure that
leverages the current expertise and synergies
- Develop and execute a cohesive growth strategy for inorganic
and organic growth focusing on high growth and profitable market
segments
- Establish and implement an organizational structure in
alignment with the strategic vision that supports the current
organization and future state regarding customers, operations,
commercial, etc.
- Work with global business unit leadership teams and operations
to drive operational improvements for best in class production and
quality
- Work closely with business unit leadership teams and functional
heads contributing to contract negotiations, costing, pricing, and
other related commercial activities
- Develop annual operating budget, forecasts, and lead quarterly
and annual reviews
- Implement talent development, evaluation, and success planning
activities with the HR Leadership team supporting current and
future talent needs
- Develop, maintain, and nurture relationships with key
stakeholders, customers, and other strategic partners
- Drive leadership team in a positive and collaborative approach
focusing on a team-based culture
- Think like an owner driving and maintaining a goal-oriented,
entrepreneurial environment with legacy business and new
businessThe Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing,
Business, or related
- MBA or Masters degree preferred
- 20 years of experience in industrial B2B manufacturing
- 5 years of experience in Sr. Leadership role responsible for a
P&L - President, CEO, Managing Director, Vice President,
General Manager, etc.
- Strong financial acumen is required
- Prior experience with M&A identifying targets and post
integrations highly preferred
- Proven background and experience driving business development
securing high value contracts, with a sales and commercial
background
- Strong commercial acumen and creative thinker identifying new
markets and applications
- Ability to be strategic while also being hands-on and tactical
when required
- Ability to work with all levels of management and team members
internal and external
- Must have experience working for a global company working with
different cultures
- Business minded and strong teamwork
- Strong communication skills, time management skills, and a
customer-focused mindset.
- Fluent in English is required
- Strong work ethic and high attention to detail
- Ability to travel 50% domestically and globallyWhat's on
OfferCompetitive base salary - $350,000 - $400,000 depending on
experience, annual bonus 50%, long term incentive, car allowance,
