As one of the fastest-growing warehousing and logistics companies in North America, we're looking for an experienced CORPORATE INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING MANAGER.

The Industrial Engineering Manager at Comprehensive Logistics Co., Inc. will be responsible for providing leadership and technical oversight to a team of industrial engineers supporting a core business unit within the 3PL organization. The manager will develop, mentor, and train the junior-level Industrial Engineers, and assist in prioritizing and ensuring the success of their daily engineering initiatives and projects. The Engineering Manager will also be responsible for analyzing data from potential clients, applying statistical methods, and performing mathematical calculations to develop staffing and equipment requirements, material storage mediums, operation plans, and costing estimates. The successful candidate will possess a high degree of expertise in the areas of productivity analyses, work measurement, time and motion studies, and workplace design, continuous improvement, vendor management, and project management. The position will report to the Senior Director of Industrial Engineering and Automation and will require travel to Comprehensive Logistics locations throughout the United States, as needed, up to 50% of the time.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Management of CLASSICAL INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING responsibilities to include performing the productivity analyses through work measurement, time and motion studies, and workplace design.
  • Improvement of process flows and layout of facilities.
  • Champion continuous process improvement initiatives in the area of warehousing solutions.
  • Design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency, using drafting techniques.
  • Participate in Multi-disciplinary Five Phase Problem Solving Teams that directly drives company's Continuous Improvement Process and Policies.
  • Effectively communicates and partners at all levels of the organization both cross functionally and operationally.
  • Exceeds client-customers' expectations.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures. POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
    • Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
      • Five (5) years of industrial engineering experience including one (3) year of automotive engineering experience
        • A minimum of 2 years and engineering management experience required.
        • Experience with Material Handling/AUTOMATION equipment is preferred.
        • Prior 3PL experience is preferred or other Warehousing/Distribution, and/or Manufacturing experience in the Automotive and/or Industrial Verticals.
        • Knowledge of Integrated Supply Chain Model (i.e., Sequencing, Sub-Assembly, Cross Docking, Operations Management, Logistics, Warehousing and Materials Handling).
          • Six Sigma Green Belt certification
          • Must have advanced skills in AutoCAD
          • Lead implementation activities for new or changing processes and systems
          • Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office
          • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects, effectively prioritize workload and be committed to continuous process improvement
          • Must have five (5) years of experience with time and motion studies
            • Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Project
            • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
            • Strong leadership skills
            • Travel is required.
