Reporting to the Senior Manager of Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, this position will lead ERGs, and co-lead the FAB (Ford Advocates for Belonging) team, as well as collaborate with key DEI partners across the enterprise. The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Manager will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day ERG and FAB teams strategies and programming.

What you'll be able to do:

  • Build strong relationships with operating leaders, HR partners, and shared centers of expertise by developing a deep understanding of the organization's workforce diversity, equity and inclusiveness initiatives.
  • Manage relationship with diversity councils, employee resource groups (ERG) and executive sponsors.
  • Support and lead the development of ERG strategic objectives, initiatives and collaboration events.
  • Create external relationships with peers to share best practices.
  • Develop suggestions on initiatives to take within the organizations to advance diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Collaborate with other diversity, equity and inclusion stakeholders such as Ford Fund, Supplier Diversity, Marketing, Communications, to leverage each other's expertise and develop synergies within the space.
  • Responsible for understanding global metrics and preparing executive level presentations.
  • Work with communications to drive external and internal diversity related messages through various channels within the company.
  • Lead participation in and track external awards, publications and other processes. The minimum requirements we seek:
    • Bachelor's degree
    • Five or more--years in ERG related programming and strategy building within a large complex orgainization similar to Ford
    • Three or more years of Project management experience
    • Three or more--years of Organizational development/change management skills Our preferred requirements:
      • Intercultural Development Inventory Certified Administrator
      • Strong problem solver with a focus on empathy and ability to adapt to a diverse base (speak on behalf of everyone, not just the group you identify most with)
      • Ability to manage and lead multiple processes, projects at the same time through a DEI lens in everything
      • Resilience when working in the unknown
      • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and facilitation experience
      • DEI learning and coaching experience
      • Strong analytical and storytelling skills
      • HR generalist experience required
      • Experience with global business partners
