Position Description:

Job Title: eDrive Design & Release Engineer (Inverter)

Skills Required:

• Develop component level requirements based on the electric drive system and create the component specification to meet all requirements
• Understand the GPDS (Global Product Development Process) and meet all component deliverables at appropriate milestones
• Update BOM in AVBOM/FEDEBOM and release parts
• Meet all component Quality, Cost, Weight, and Function (QCWF) targets
• Develop ESOW (Engineering Statement of Work) and manage the supplier interface for the component
• Lead the development of the Quality documents including Boundary Diagram, P-Diagram, DFMEA, PFMEA Lead Component Design Verification Plan (DVP) development and ensure complete DVP&R is documented
• Identify all Significant and Critical Characteristics (SC/CC) and ensure a manufacturing control plan is in place
• Support all prototype and production builds
• Support electric drive component level competitive benchmarking and reports
• Support alignment of power pack and platform package
• Integrate lessons learned from previous programs & ensure robust prevent recurrence actions are in place. Skills Preferred:

  • Demonstrated experience working with cross functional teams and driving product development issues to resolution.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of powertrain testing tools, analytical and CAE tools and performance modeling tools
    Experience Required:
    
    2+ years in Design & Release preferably in Powertrain/Electrical
    
    Education Required:
    
    Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical)
    
    Education Preferred:
    
    MSEE or MSME graduate degree preferred.
