Functional Safety Engineer

DURATION : Contract

LOCATION: Dearborn, MI





JD:

Must Have

Experience with 2018 version of Functional Safety Specification (concept and system design phase)

Experience in Item Definition, HARA, Functional Safety Concept, Technical Safety Concept

Experience with preliminary hazard analysis(PHA), Failure Mode Effect Analysis(FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)

Experience in Chassis and Engine control system

Exposure to Breadboard/Vehicle/HIL testing and writing Design Verification Plan/Methods ( DVP/DVM)

Embedded ECU software design in C, C++, Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow

Good to have

Advantageous having Model Based System Engineering experience using SysML Language tools like MagicDraw/Cameo Systems Modeler/IBM Rhapsody/Enterprise Architect

Good knowledge of requirements engineering using tools like Doors/Polarion

Vehicle Systems Engineering

Issue Management and Version Control tools like DOORS, JIRA, Github

Establish and lead Functional Safety working level meetings for cross-functional Teams.

Interact with Feature owner, cross-functional teams (software engineers and Design & Release Engineers) and supplier

Prepare Functional Safety Work products Item Definition, HARA, Functional Safety Concept, Technical Safety Concept and System Design

Perform safety analyses FMEA and FTA
Establish and lead Functional Safety working level meetings for cross-functional Teams
